Faculty
The faculty at C. P. Goenka International School is well qualified and trained to cater to the demands of effective teaching and learning. Personal interviews, demonstration of classroom teaching and experience in the field of education form the basis of their selection into the CPGIS fraternity. It is indeed a matter of pride that the faculty here is Tech Savvy and makes utmost and judicious use of SMART AUDIO VISUAL BOARDS for classroom interactions.
The entire faculty is actively involved in the extra and co-curricular activities that are penciled into the daily routine of the students. Be it on the sports field, the sphere of academics in the classrooms, the grooming sessions in art, music & dance or the practical lessons taught through laboratory work and culminating activities, teachers take an active interest and share a healthy rapport with the students. Structured and defined field trips and excursions with tutors strengthen the bonds between students and teachers.
Every teacher is assigned a tutorial group of about 15 to 20 students. The interaction with this group goes beyond the usual facilitator's role. Pastoral and counselor roles are merged, and the students benefit immensely. Teacher training programmes and workshops attended at different venues are a regular feature and ensure that the faculty keeps abreast of the latest developments in the field of education. The school is committed to increasing its teacher development programmes, both in the academic and non-academic domains.
At CPGIS, we value our most invaluable resource - our teachers. They, in turn, not only transact the curriculum, but also generate an enthusiasm for learning and questioning, critical disposition.
